PGI Peloponnese
With its brilliant straw-yellow hue and refined appearance in the glass, this wine captures the essence of the variety’s aromatic richness and elegant personality. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of sweet rose petals, peach syrup, melon, pear, ripe tropical fruits, and fresh Mediterranean herbs, while the palate is full, vibrant, and expressive.
Balanced and structured, it delivers subtle mineral undertones and refined notes of bergamot, leading to a crisp, refreshing finish that lingers with hints of lemongrass and delicate spice.
Crafted with precision and respect for the varietal’s character, the winemaking process begins with grape chilling and a 12-hour cold maceration at 8°C, followed by fermentation at 14°C in stainless steel tanks. To enhance depth and aromatic finesse, 20% of the wine matures for five months on its fine lees in 225L acacia barrels, which gently elevate the floral and fruity profile without overpowering the wine’s natural elegance.
Enjoyed ideally at 10–12°C in a medium-sized white wine glass, this expressive Malagousia pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes—from seafood and grilled fish to poultry, grilled vegetables, and creamy pasta. It also complements more adventurous pairings like pork tenderloin with curry, fried rabbit, asparagus risotto, and soft, creamy cheeses. With ageing potential of 2–3 years, Semeli Malagousia Cuvée Spéciale continues to evolve, offering an increasingly mature and layered profile over time.
