Grape Variety: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
Tasting Notes
Salmon-pink with fine bubbles, with aromas of cherries, blackberries, pomegranates and red currants. A deliciously full body, with flavours of strawberries and raspberries and a pleasantly well-balanced finish.
Regional Information
The grapes are harvested in Ay, Cotes des Blancs, and Montagne de Reims, with over 80% of the grapes coming from vineyards that are rated Premier or Grand Cru. For some years the company has employed a policy of sustainable viticulture, cutting down on the use of chemicals, reducing yields and increasing grape quality.
Vinification Details
Only the first press must, cuvée, is used. The wine is fermented in small, 10,000 litre tanks, with each plot being vinified separately, all the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. After the assemblage, the wines are left to age on the lees for around 3 years. Brut Rosé is a blend of the finest Pinot Noir grands crus from the Montagne de Reims, with a touch of Chardonnay.
