This 100% Pinot Noir from Chambolle-Musigny village comes from three parcels that are vinified together, from lieux-dits “Derriere la Four”, “Les Pas de Chats” and “Les Condemennes” (1.15 hectares). As with all wines of Confuron with the fruit and terroir predominant, so here too 30% has been increased on new oak and others on used oak vanes and the Chambolle-Musigny has undergone a long malolactic fermentation.
The bouquet is ripe with bright black currants and cassis fruit layered neatly with the oak. The flavor is medium-bodied with a ripe, chocolate-tinged entrance, fine acidity and a. The oak will take a few years to fully integrate after bottling, but it would be worth the wait. In summary, this Chambolle Musigny is very elegant (the trademark of Confuron) very pleasant on the palate, but with a certain structure and strength.
