Impressive and full of personality with a distinct, territorial imprint. When tasting the Nerello Mascalese from Masseria Setteporte one can almost imagine the steep, high altitude vineyards which cling to the slopes of Mount Etna in the red, mineral, volcanic soil of the Biancavilla area.
MADE WITH ORGANIC GRAPES
Grapes: Nerello Mascalese
Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with skin contact for about 8 days and 2 to 3 days of pumping over. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques, 20 % of which are new oak.
Ageing: 12 months in French barriques, followed by a minimum of 8 months in the bottle.
