A powerful and intense Sauvignon Blanc, bursting with aromas of green capsicum, lemongrass and kaffir lime. The palate has a distinctive briny seashell chalky texture due to the Graham vineyard’s close proximity to the ocean. The finish is long with balanced zesty acidity and lingering fresh herbs.
Serve lightly chilled with fresh pan fried white fish, or sashimi or with goats cheese & rocket salad.
VINEYARD & WINEMAKING:
The climate in Marlborough has high sunshine hours, but temperatures during the growing season are regulated by the cooling ocean influence. In 2014, Marlborough had a warmer than usual spring, followed by a temperate summer. All Sauvignon Blanc grapes were machine harvested between early March until mid April in cool autumn conditions.
The Graham vineyard has a unique location in the coastal sub region of the Awatere Valley, this cooling coastal influence allows for the development of an array of aromas and flavoursspecific to this sub region.
